View my Grad-Recital at CalArts which took place Sunday, February 22, 2015 in the Roy O. Disney Music Hall. I had the pleasure of sharing this concert with my dear friend Kelly Furniss, percussionist, as her Mid-Res recital.
This featured improvised works (Impromptu for 2/22 Nos. 1 & 2) and Computer Pieces (Arctic Radio, Tuning in on the Beast, & Falling) as well as the world premier of 'jittering in trees in vague seasons for harp and violin'. My guest performers included Marilu Donovan on harp, Lizzie Edwards – violin, Jon Meller and Derek Etman (fellow composers who are shorter and taller than me, respectively) as well as Drew Corey and the CalArts Contemporary Vocal Ensemble.
